intentional・ supportive・ fun
Lauren discovered Pilates 20 years ago in California. She fell in love with the intentionality of the system, resonating deeply with the idea of a practice that continually refines over a lifetime. For her, Pilates has been a constant that adapts to changes in both mind and body. She has relied on her practice to navigate injuries, surgeries, prenatal and postpartum periods, and the demands of everyday life.
Becoming a certified teacher had been on Lauren's to-do list since she first stepped into the studio and saw the apparatus. She completed her certification through Equinox in 2022 under Carrie Macy Samper. Her teaching style utilizes the 6 Pilates Principles—concentration, control, centering, coordination, breath, and flowing movement—to help each individual find strength and balance. She chooses appropriate exercises to achieve a client's specific goals and is a firm believer that Pilates is for everybody and every body.
In her free time, you may find her in the studio taking classes—she has been a BodyTonic client since 2023—or around the neighborhood with her family and dogs.
