I am approaching my second year anniverasry at your facility and am very pleased and overjoyed to have made my second year mark.

I truly can attribute my longevity and endurance with pilates solely based on O-sel's ability to teach. In my estimation she is a master teacher. The environment at BT is so nice. All your instructors and clients receive equitable treatment and consideration. I love coming to Body Tonic and am very honored to have Osel as my teacher. I feel very blessed to be part of Osel's client roster as well as part of your overall client group. She truly is gifted and compassionate both rare qualities. Osel has impacted my life in more ways than just exercise ...she really is an amazing person. I could go on and on, but you all are very special to me and will always have a place in my heart.

Thank you for giving me this opportunity to let you know.

Just a year ago I had a metal plate inserted in my arm due to a broken elbow.

After a few weeks of physical therapy I started back at Pilates. I could barely lift my arm 6 inches and the pain was intense. At Pilates my teachers are minutely attentive to every shoulder twitch, every unbalanced effort, every possible action which-causes- a-reaction, and they helped me bring my arm up, centimeter by centimeter. Besides the benefits to posture, flexibility and strength that other clients have mentioned, and which are exponentially more important in the case of an injury, the intense attention that the Body Tonic teachers pay to every movement has allowed me to recover completely, without sacrificing other parts of my body to an impaired arm. My recovery is truly miraculous, and I thank Body Tonic for that. And did I mention that I enjoy the classes?

I've been meaning to write for a while to share my good news about my most recent bone density scan and share my thoughts about the value of Pilates for those of us who are not young dancers.

First, about the scan, which at age 56, and being a fair haired, small boned person with a mother and grandmothers who noticeably shrank as they aged, is an important yardstick for me. The report, compared to 3 years ago, brought the good news that there was no change in my spine and that I'd actually increased density in my forearms, which I directly attribute to the resistance exercise that is a component of my Pilates classes.

When I first started taking the classes, almost three years ago, I'll confess to being a bit intimidated by the fact that most of the other people taking classes were a lot younger. However, I'd often stated that the only way I'd take a regular exercise program was if one moved in right next door to me, which is pretty much the case for BodyTonic, so I decided to try to stick with it for a while. Despite the intimidation, I also really enjoyed the fact that I seemed to feel taller and lighter on my feet after a class. Plus, your instructors were really good about suggesting modifications that accommodated my unyielding hamstrings and actually managed to loosen them up a bit.

Three years later, I keep coming back for more. When people ask me why, I reply that I haven't been to a chiropractor during the past three years and I get a stress relief that is as good as any therapy session, so I figure it's a bargain. I really appreciate the fact that my flexibility has greatly improved and while getting rid of a middle aged pot is as much a factor of reducing calorie intake as exercise, I do know where my abdominal muscles are and can use them. òYou and your instructors have been great (although I've learned to be wary of any of you saying "Now this next exercise should be fun/interesting") and I really appreciate the time and individualized effort you've put in to both general and private classes.

Thanks again for all your support.

Taking Jennifer DeLuca's teaching has really made a difference in myoverall strength and flexibility...

Her understanding of the body's range of movement has helped me noticeably improve my posture and alignment.

Jennifer DeLuca has been my Pilates instructor for more than a year and a half, and I would not see anyone else.

She is smart, personable, focused and extrordinarily knowledgable about discipline, body mechanics and physical fitness in general. She tailors programs to her clients' personal needs, and displays a level of attention to the individual that I have never found anywhere else. She has helped me improve my strength, posture, flexibility and attitude toward exercise. After working with Jennifer for about six months, I attended a spinning class at my gym, and the instructor declared my alignment "perfect." Everyone's exercise instructor should be this good!

When I came to see Jennifer I was  out of shape and suffering from chronic back pain. Today, I am fit and pain free.

Jennifer De Luca changed my life!

She's taught me how to be healthy, how to live healthy and how to think healthy.  She's encouraged me to develop the mental and physical strength to keep up with my three kids and job.

Some people are mind readers.  Jennifer De Luca is a body reader!

She instantly spots and diagnoses whatever hurts you-or looks bad in a bikini-and pinpoints exercises that will fix the problem fast!  I always leave her studio feeling a little longer and leaner.  She is also an inspiration to look at and work around, one reason why we're including her in New Woman's upcoming article, Secrets of Super-Healthy Women.  I couldn't do without her secrets; it seemed like the rest of the world should be in on them, too!
